Five Guys is an American fast food chain renowed for its diner-style fare and the freedom to customize orders with free mix-ins and toppings. Amused by this wordplay, Batungbacal began to craft a painting of five different guys dining at a Five Guys branch.

If you take a closer look at the details of the painting, you will soon notice that the setting is actually a fictional place called Five Gays. She had based the subjects on five actual men, each of whom had gone on a date with a close friend of hers. The men have varying appearances and traits that may not necessarily fit any stereotype.
