From September 2022 - July 2023, Batungbacal rented a room in an apartment in Malasaña. The door at the very left shows where she lived. 

While maintaining her unusual perspective and style, Batungbacal began to experiment with layering techniques that were being introduced to her. She applied layers of black and yellow pigments to add an intensified sense of drama into her work, as though subtly challenging the observer with an unspoken question: Among these thresholds, which door would you open?
